Self-taught and passionate, Sonia Cotto is a Reunionese painter with a rich and singular journey. Hairdresser, interior decorator, aesthetician, above all a creator at heart, she has expressed herself intensely through painting since 2009. Combining the arts with rare freedom, her style shifts from one collection to the next, powerfully translating the emotions of each moment. Acrylic, varied textures, luminous effects, bold formats. Canvases that speak, dance and vibrate: every work is a story, every collection a metamorphosis. Sonia explores acrylic and mixed media with rare freedom: UV and blue light effects, sculpted textures, XXL formats… Her ever-evolving style refuses to be confined to a single register.

For Sonia, art is also a commitment to solidarity. Convinced of its comforting power, she puts her talent to work for sick children and charitable causes. Through her exhibitions and the Vernishow, she raises funds for associations and donates canvases to bring a little light where it is scarce. Paediatric hospitals hold a special place in her heart.
